weekends

andy walker was in town last weekend. some of his friends put together an alternative pub crawl through garden oaks and the heights. it was great fun, as usual. the new route was great - we hit many small bars, most of which i had no idea existed. rose's garden, somewhere in the northern heights, was my favorite. rose marie lives across the street from her bar, which is really just a tiny house with a pool table, bar, and tables. (that is where most of my pictures were taken.)

this weekend john paul and i are headed up to brenham. thanks to the glorious cynthia skelton, we have gift certificates to a bed and breakfast. we will be staying at the historic ant street inn. i'm looking at this as a belated anniversary weekend away. don't worry about us, there's plenty to do in brenham. however, we were very disappointed to find that, in the fall, bluebell doesn't give tours on fridays or saturdays.

we will be back on saturday evening. we might try to see a bit of the art crawl, but we're really looking forward to the bobbindoctrin puppet festival!

everyone should come out on sunday for the waka (world adult kickball association) pick-up game.

non-stop fun this weekend!
